[audio]The Goldbergs-1942
Selected episodes of the groundbreaking serial comedy-drama about a lower middle class Jewish family adapting to modern American urban and suburban life, created and written by Gertrude Berg, who also played matriarch Molly Goldberg. With John R. Waters as Jake; Roslyn Silber as Rosalie; Alfred Ryder as Sammy; Arnold Stang as Seymour; and, future "Beat the Clock" host Bud Collyer (going then by his given name, Clayton) as the show's announcer.

[movies]''Molly Goldberg'' gives message to potential sponsors
Not sure what this is, but it appears at the end of an episode of "The Goldbergs" which I uploaded at here . It appears to have been a message given by Gertrude Berg ("Molly Goldberg") to attract potential sponsors to her series, which at that point aired in first-run-syndication. A large number of actual episodes of the series can be viewed elsewhere on this website. I recommend the 1954 episodes as being better than the 1955 episode I link to above.

[movies]1953 Episode of ''Texaco Star Theatre'' with Gertrude Berg
An interesting 1953 episode of Milton Berle's "Texaco Star Theatre" from 1953, with special guest star Gertrude Berg, playing her popular character "Molly Goldberg". Gertrude was in fact the first Jewish actress to have her own popular sitcom. This comedy-variety series aired on NBC Television Network. The picture quality is a little poor, but watchable.
